Liz Smith of made in lowell is constantly learning new skills while always trying to put her fine arts education toward the creation of more decorative items. She has worked with polymer clay for almost twenty years. Fascinated with surface design, shape, color and texture, she is still thrilled each time she creates a new egg ornament. Making her own felt is her latest joy, but wiring jewelry with beads and stones remains interesting too. She recently joined the artist community at Western Avenue Studios in Lowell and looks forward to using the space to expand her range of creations.
