Rebekah Wetmore paints to celebrate the loveliness in ordinary things; people, objects, places. Painting is close and affectionate observation and discovery; about the subject, about the behavior of materials, about color, illusion, and design.

Rebekah Wetmore was raised among people who invented, made, and repaired things, and has painted all her life. She received her MFA from UMass Amherst, in painting, and painting has been her occupation since then. Her work hangs in private collections and in public and corporate settings in Eastern Canada and the United States.
