Curator of the overlooked, I see beauty where others may not.

I love old things, open and sparkling people, natural light, reflections, and odd angles. The late Victorian, early industrial architecture so prevalent in Lowell makes my heart go pitter-pat. I find ambiguity compelling, if not always entirely comfortable.

Recently, I realized that the majority of my photographs are portraiture, regardless of subject.

There are those who believe that, with all the technology available today, “anyone can take a pretty picture”. I disagree.

The interaction between photographer and subject, inanimate or not, can be what makes some images wondrous. People can tell I am grateful for what they are willing to give me, and this makes them share even more of themselves. It is my appreciation shining sunny and warm on the brick of an old mill building about to be demolished.
